近日,华中科技大学杨光教授受邀来医学院作学术报告。医学院院长杨雷、副院长张静、部分教职工和学生代表参加了报告会。

Recently, Professor Yang Guang of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was invited to the medical school to give an academic report. The President of the Medical School, Yang Lei, Vice President Zhang Jing, and some faculty and student representatives participated in the presentations.

杨光以“天然高分子功能材料的构建与应用”为主题,结合自身最新研究成果,深入浅出地阐述了壳聚糖微载体在细胞三维培养与自托附等方面的应用。她首先介绍了在肝脏疾病死亡率超90%的严峻背景下,团队培育的两种人工肝在缓解肝脏资源短缺问题中的重要应用价值。随后,她详细讲述了细胞三维培养、微载体、细胞的自托附、纳米纤维素的应用与合成方面的研究成果。

Under the theme of “construction and application of natural polymer functional materials,” Yang Guang elaborated in depth on the application of colloidal microcarriers in cell three-dimensional culture and self-adhesion, combining his latest research achievements. She began by describing the value of the two artificial livers the team developed in alleviating liver resource shortages in a critical context where mortality from liver disease exceeds 90 percent. She then detailed her research findings on cell 3D culture, microcarriers, cell self-adhesion, and nanocellulose application and synthesis.

最后,她结合当今医学发展的现状,为师生讲解了微载体、细菌纤维素等材料在癌症研究以及食品方面的广阔应用前景。渊博的学识与生动的讲解,让与会者对天然高分子材料的构建与应用等前沿科学问题有了更深刻的理解。会上,与会师生积极提问,就“人工肝培养在医学上的应用前景”等科学问题与杨光教授展开了深入交流。

Finally, she explained to the teachers and students the broad application prospects of microcarriers, bacterial cellulose and other materials in cancer research and food. At the meeting, teachers and students actively raised questions and communicated with Professor Yang Guang on the problem in science.

杨光,二级教授,博士生导师。湖北省楚天学者特聘教授,湖北省青年杰出人才,德国洪堡学者,日本学术振兴会JSPS学者。曾荣获中国化学会青年化学奖(2002)、教育部自然科学二等奖(2004)、湖北省优秀博士论文(2001)等奖励。现任中国化学会纤维素专业委员会副主任,欧洲多糖学会中国大使。国际权威期刊《Carbohydrate Polymers》、《Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials》、《Polymers》、《Engineered Science》编委。入选斯坦福大学“全球前2%顶尖科学家”榜单和“终身影响力科学家”榜单。先后在Progress in Materials Science,Advanced Energy Materials,Advanced Science,Advanced Functional Materials,Biotechnology Advances,Materials Horizons,Biomaterials,ACS nano,Bioactive Materials,Nano-Micro Letters,Small等国际权威期刊发表学术论文200余篇(H因子60,引用11265),出版3部专著。获批专利32项。

Yang Guang, second-level professor and doctoral student mentor. Hubei Chutian Scholar, Hubei Young Outstanding Talent, Humboldt Scholar of Germany, JSPS Scholar of Japan Academic Revitalization Association. He has won the Youth Chemistry Award of Chinese Chemical Society (2002), the Second Prize of Natural Science of Ministry of Education (2004), Excellent Doctoral Thesis of Hubei Province (2001) and other awards. He is currently the deputy director of the Cellulose Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and the Chinese ambassador of the European Society of Polysaccharides. Editor of international authoritative journals such as “Carbohydrate Polymiers”, “Advanced Composites and Hybrid Material”, “Polymers”, and “Engineered Science”. He was included on Stanford University’s list of the top 2% of scientists in the world and the list of lifetime impact scientists. Progress in Materials Science, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Science, Advanced Functional Materials, Biotechnology Advances, Materials Horizons, Biomaterials, ACS nano, Bioactive Materials, Nano-Micro Letters, Small He has published more than 200 academic papers (H factor 60, citation 11265) and 3 monographs. Thirty-two patents were approved.
